Oh Baby

It seems each day I lose another one. “Watum” is gone, and so is “orangen” along with “lellow”. But I just noticed we’ve lost my favorite one, sometime last week.

“Oh baby” is gone.

Here, I’ll use it in a sentence:

“Papa, can I have a banana? Oh baby I’ll have an apple instead.”

I really am sad to see these cute mistakes go. Curse their teachers :-).

At least Brian made up for it a bit by telling me next year for Halloween he wants to be FrankenEinstein.

I may steal that costume idea from him.

Our Ginta has dubbed Marko "Kookah," which Miki has evolved into "Cucamonga". But alas, no cute mistakes like your boys ... yet.

Jealous! :)

When Emma was little, she frequnetly used "lasterday" and "lastertime" as in:

"Lasterday we went to the zoo and had a great time. I hope we can go again tomorrow!"

AND

"Lastertime at the zoo we saw them feed the sea lions."

She also had "fowler" instead of "flower" and my heart broke into a few pieces when this one vanished.

Lily likes to go order blueberry cake when she goes with me to Starbuilders for coffee.

My son as a toddler would say "Fwed Meywo" for the popular housewares store. To this day I cannot call that store anything else.

By the way, this same son just graduated from MIT this spring, so you can imagine how thrilled he is to hear me say "Fwed Meywo".

Ah... the true reward of being a parent is your permanent ability to embarrass your offspring.

Oh they'll come and go too quick.

Chris: We're you Lasterday Saints, then? Very cute.

Congratulations!

Heck, that ain't noth'n; if left unchecked, I could fill this blog with saccharin examples. :-)

It was funny, just after I posted this, we were reading the National Geographic Young Explorer and when we got to a part on Neil Armstrong, Brian read it as Neil Einstrong. He seems to have a fixation on Albert Einstein. Excellent.
